Marie is a recent Florida State University graduate and an Internal Audit and financial Advisory Consultant with Protiviti, based in the Charlotte market. In May 2023, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned a Dual bachelor’s degree in finance and management information systems.
At Glades Central Community High School, with a weighted GPA of 5.2, she ranked #1 in a graduating class of 242 students. That same month, Marie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Palm Beach State College with an AA degree. Her academic ambition complemented her extracurricular and community involvement. Marie was active with Student Government and Leadership Grow Palm Beach during high school, teaching Sunday school and playing piano at First Haitian Baptist Church. Her most considerable involvement was her principal role at the First Haitian Baptist Church Youth & Development Center after-school program. This role is what cemented her passion for leadership. Overall, Marie accumulated over 1,300 community service hours during her high school career.
As a sophomore at FSU, she served as a research assistant in the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP). While completing over 100 hours, she immersed herself in consumer behavior research and gained an appreciation for the scope of study in the business world. Her experience in the UROP program inspired Marie to become a UROP Leader in her junior year. As a UROP Leader, she led a bi-weekly colloquium and mentored 16 business-major students in their research assistantships. In her last year at FSU, Marie completed a remote consulting externship with Paragon One x PwC. With the help of a team, she advised a PwC client on fundraising and marketing strategies to meet their strategic goals. At the end of the externship, she presented her findings to the client’s leadership team and received the distinction of “Outstanding Completion.”
Marie believes this is only the start. She hopes to gain business experience, become a subject matter expert, and give back to the community of Belle Glade someday.
