At Citrus High School, Ashley gained numerous academic and technology awards: the AP Scholars, AP National Hispanic Recognition Program, AVID Freshman of the Year, Microsoft, and ADOBE certifications.  Ashley has volunteered at a dermatology and skin surgery center and her church choir, and she loves helping the community primary school during their science fairs and judging entries.

Her passions for biology, psychology, and chemistry determined her path to studying neuroscience in college and eventually graduating as a medical doctor. Ashley will attend USF in the fall.
