Destiny studies Computer Science & Human and Organizational Development at Vanderbilt University. She has experience in product management and looks forward to interning in investment banking and software engineering in New York City. She spent a semester in Florence, Italy, where she studied Renaissance art, international leadership development, and Italian language, food, and culture. Destiny works as a barista at a local café on campus; she loves to practice latte art and ponders weekly drink specials for customers. She is active with organizations such as Alpha Kappa Psi (business fraternity), the American Red Cross, Nashville Food Project, Volunteers for Health, African Student Union, and Change++, making sure to serve her communities both on and off campus. Destiny crochets, draws, and paints in her free time, as she has always been passionate about the arts and artistic expression. While not pursuing a traditional path in medicine, Destiny is passionate about improving health outcomes for Black women and babies worldwide. She ultimately aspires to open clinics across Sub-Saharan Africa that specialize in the care of Black women and their children to combat the increasing maternal and infant mortality rates and improve their overall health outcomes.
