Karla Menchu-Saban dually enrolled at Palm Beach State College, where she was ranked in the top 5% of her class out of 628 students with a 4.24 GPA. She challenged herself by taking A.I.C.E. and A.P. classes. Karla kept active with activities such as Secretary of the S.H.A.P.E. Club, V.P. of the Medical Honor Society, Chief of Staff with the J.R.O.T.C. Wing Staff, Johnson Scholars, Trio Talent Program, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Marching Band. Karla enjoys volunteering with the community by offering translation services. She is a certified medical interpreter, and C.P.R. Karla attends Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Health Administration. She serves as a Take Stock in College Student Ambassador. In addition, Karla served as Secretary for the National Society of Leadership and Success, participated in the Career Living Community, and interned for the Office of Leadership Education and Development (LEAD). She served as the Co-Director of Records for the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), Secretary for the Blood Pressure Screening Association (B.P.S.A.), Elite Owl Leadership Ambassador, and Peer Academic Coach. She gives back to the community as a mentor with Take Stock in Children and a chaperone for Palm Beach County schools. As a first-generation college student, Karla has accepted an elementary school teacher position in Palm Beach County.
