Keilly Pulgar is from Hillsborough County and graduated from Braulio Alonso High School, third in her class of 515. A cancer survivor, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in February 2011 and underwent chemotherapy for 2.5 years until being declared cancer-free in May 2013. She used her experience as a patient to explore different career paths in the healthcare field while in college. She graduated from the University of Florida in August 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education. Keilly received a master’s degree from the University of Miami in health administration and works in hospital management in Miami.
