Leonardo ranked 15th in his class of 150 students maintained a weighted GPA of 4.9 and while attending Lorenzo Walker Technical High School. He represented his high school and the state of Florida in the National Congress of Science and Technology Leaders in Boston, Massachusetts. Leonardo is pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of South Florida with a GPA of 3.3 and is enrolled in the USF Judy Genshaft Honors College. He has also volunteered at several events sponsored by the Society for Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) and the American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE). Leonardo also enjoys playing beach volleyball and the ukulele and learning some Japanese languages in hopes of visiting Japan someday.

The Leaders for Life Fellowship decision is made by a selection committee based on scholarship criteria and student qualifications, without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, or any other protected characteristics.
