Mithila (Mia) maintains a 3.99 GPA as a Cambridge student active in the National Honor Society, Superintendent’s Student Council, and Chief Science Officer at her school. The Chief Science Officers program enhances leadership qualities. They host “STEMonstrations” at local elementary schools to introduce young students to STEM careers.
Mia’s parents instilled a love for learning but an even stronger love for humankind. She wants to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-occupational therapy. Eventually, Mia will attain a doctorate in Occupational Therapy, an OTD.
Mia sees herself traveling as an OTD around the country and world but also in Bangladesh, where her roots are.
She loves art and the ability to tell stories through self-expression as she sees the importance of occupational therapy for future patients. Mia works approximately 22 hours a week at Winn Dixie and loves engaging with the customers.
She plans to attend the University of Florida or Florida State University.
