Tien Nguyen graduated from the University of Florida in May 2023 with a master’s in Fisheries and Aquatic Science with a certification in fish health/ aquaculture. He is building his sustainable snapper farm alongside one of his business partners to serve the Florida market with locally farmed fish. His master’s degree has served him with excellent technical skills to rear and breed snapper to produce food fish to feed a growing population in the future with a changing climate and depleting wild fish stocks. Tien also plans to get his real estate license to have a side hustle while he builds the fish farm.
